Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs Visits Honorable Ali Abu Albaba, Chairman of the Committee on Women Affairs

Katsina….The Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajia Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua, recently paid a courtesy visit to Honorable Ali Abu Albaba, the member representing Katsina Local Government and Chairman of the Committee on Women Affairs, at his office in Katsina.

The visit aimed to foster stronger ties and collaboration between the Ministry of Women Affairs and the Committee on Women Affairs to better address the issues and challenges faced by women in Katsina State. During the meeting,Honorable Yar’adua and Honorable Albaba discussed key areas of mutual interest, including women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the improvement of healthcare and educational opportunities for women and girls in the state.

In her remarks, Honorable Hadiza Yar’adua emphasized the importance of partnership and cooperation in achieving the Ministry’s goals. “We are here today to build a solid working relationship with the Committee on Women Affairs. By joining forces, we can develop and implement effective strategies that will uplift and empower the women of Katsina State,(Da fatan zaku rikeni da hannu biyu)” she stated.

Honorable Ali Abu Albaba expressed his gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare of women. “As the Chairman of the Committee on Women Affairs, I am dedicated to working alongside the Ministry to ensure that the needs of women in our communities are addressed. Together, we can create a more equitable and supportive environment for all,” he said.

The visit concluded with both parties agreeing to hold regular meetings to share insights, coordinate activities, and develop joint initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women in Katsina State.

The Ministry of Women Affairs remains committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of women and girls across Katsina State and looks forward to a productive partnership with the Committee on Women Affairs.
